Pumping Station Package
We include for One Mono C15BC31RPH Pump Unit, linked by a twin v-belt drive to a 5.5 kW three phase motor. The pump is geared to run at a speed of 468 rpm, and in this configuration will develop discharge head of 12 bar, with nominal output of 12m3/hr.(with pumps available up to 16 bar, and outputs up to 120 m3/hr). built to the following specification.
The pump is supplied built into a treated timber pump house, complete with 3” suction kit, comprising galvanised inlet pipework, 6m x 3” suction hose and the necessary couplings.
The package also includes a 2” delivery kit, including pressure relief valve, outlet shut off valve and non return valve with pressure gauge and tapping for pressure swichgauge.
The pump control panel is complete with full manual and automatic control and full overload protection. The control panel also includes 240v to 24v transformer to provide 24 volt operation of pump controls and protection devices. The control circuits are built into a fully enclosed waterproof housing. The panel also includes full MCB protection and door mounted isolator.
|
|
We also include a high/low pressure monitoring system. High pressure shut down enables shut down of the pump when either the mobile irrigator reaches the end of its run, or a jet blockage in the sprinkler causes a pressure build up. Low pressure shut down is fitted with a timer delay unit and enables shut down of the pumping station due to a loss of pressure caused by either a burst on the output line or loss of suction.
Shut down due to either low or high pressure isolates the pump and triggers either a warning beacon or siren. The system can only be reset manually and so prevents the system restarting before the cause of the shut down has been investigated.
The pump house is fitted with an external thermostat linked to a tubular heater and the motor contactor. This ensures that when the outside temperature drops near freezing the pump is shut down and the heater comes on to prevent the pump house freezing.

(Slurry Mixers)
In addition to the Veneroni Slurry Pump range, Greencrop Irrigation also supplies Veneroni Slurry Mixers, including models in the following ranges:
- MB
- M
- MD
- MF
Slurry Mixers (MB range)
The Mixer type "MB" is designed for sewage mixed with manure, and may be introduced via 70x70 cm manholes.
It is supplied hot galvanized.
Slurry Mixers (M range)
The machine has been designed to treat sewage mixed with manure. As compared to other types of mixer with the same power inputs, this machine achieves notable time savings and is also able to homogenise sewage containing great quantities of solid manure, surface crusts and settled layers.
On request, the aerator-oxygenator may also be mounted to let air into the liquid mass. This increases the fertilizing capacity of the sewage and thus encourages fermentation, inhibiting the formation of odours. Thus treated, the sewage is ready to be pumped or directly intaken by the tank truck.
The MD mixer is the electric version of the M series.
The propeller is operated by three-phase electric motors 380/660 4 poles B5, with industrial-type axial reduction gear. The transmission is in an oil bath with mechanical Widia seal.
The frame structure, which is composed of tubular elements, can be hot galvanized or in stainless steel AISI 304. Vertical and horizontal regulations are simple, thanks to a ball-bearing fifth wheel and a hydraulic jack with manual pump.

(Bunded Fuel High Speed Bowser)
Greencrop can now offer a High speed Bunded fuel (diesel) bowser for highway use. The high-speed tow version GCFB 220 and GCFB 220T (tandem axle) have a capacity of 1,000 litres (220 gallon), which has been tested by the Ministry of Transport and is fully compliant to ADR - IBC - UN Approval and is supplied with certified documentation.
ADR Diesel Bowsers have to comply with recently introduced Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road Regulations. Under these regulations diesel is now classified as a dangerous substance due to its potential flammability, especially when in a vapour state. In order to do so safely, the transportation on the road must be done in containers which comply with the requirements of the ADR regulations. ADR regulations are a European agreement. The inner tank must be able to be fully removed form the outer bund tank for inspection if required after every 30 months.
The Greencrop Bowser consists of IBC containers (intermediate bulk container), which are mounted on a towable chassis with a layer of rubber between the outer tank and chassis. The IBC's can only be retained on a chassis or frame and must not have the chassis or frame form part of their structure.
The containers are classified as IBC's to UN31A coding. To achieve this they had to be independently tested to withstand test pressures and drop testing, (the Greencrop tank so far gave the best results with regards to the least distortion on the tests) The container is also required to feature a specialised pressure relief and explosion valve, inspection hatch and a max fill indicator.
(Slurry Separators)
Re-using slurry offers enormous advantages in terms of transportation, storage, cleanliness and energy saving. Separating the solids in slurry from the liquid is the answer to the urgent problem of nitrates. Specially formulated, SEPCOM ® is simple, reliable, efficient and economical.
|
Compliance with recent norms and legislation on agronomic use of animal farming effluents in Europe and many other ecology aware countries will bring changes in farm management.
Where production of effluents is higher than the admissible load on the soil, this creates problems such as larger manure storage tanks requirements, and larger areas for manure distribution with longer distances to cover. All this implies higher costs, and such problems will arise more and more frequently.
It is therefore useful to take a new management approach that favours reduction of both transport and new distribution areas and addresses the fertilizing power of the farming effluent after separation.
Working with the Department of Rural Economic & Engineering of the University of Bologna, WAMGROUP® has analysed the problem of how to manage animal farming effluents in-depth, from both an economic and an environmental point of view, and evaluated the convenience of using a screw-type solids-liquid separator - an innovative aspect introduced by WAMGROUP® into product and process design, along with the manufacture machine components from engineering polymer SINT®.
First results in laboratory and field tests showed considerable advantages over competitors, mainly due to the polymer screw. The separating effect produces agronomic and management benefits. Looking at the two phases the following becomes evident:
- as less energy is required to distribute the separated liquid on fields, the problem of smearing over crops is greatly reduced
- the separated liquid is more suitable for fertilization through irrigation with reduced addition of chemical fertilizers and lower costs
- the distribution period is also extended, thus reducing storage volumes
- the solid separated can be used in pre-ploughing and possibly destined to the fields most distant from the farm, generating lower costs and quicker delivery than common manure
- the separated phase can be sold to other farmers or growers who require organic fertilizer
- research results in some of the farms monitored have shown savings in effluent management ranging between €0.30 and 1.00 per cubic metre, in relation to the distance to cover and to the final destination of the separated solid.
